OK so the Kilbeggan I tasted definitely wasn't a 12 or 15 or 18 yr old Irish whiskey.
Somewhat coarse and grainy it had an afterburn that wasn't fun. Earthy and at times even...gritty!
"Bleh" was the first thought that came to my mind.
